Displaylink Drivers For Windows 10

I am using a Toshiba Dynadock 3.0 at both of my offices as a docking station. Both have worked on my Surface Pro 3 when on Windows 8 and 8.1. With Windows 10, audio does not play through the dock to the monitor. Have updated all drivers from TOSHIBA and DISPLAYLINK. Display Link indicates it is a known issue that Microsoft is aware of and to post here for potential resolution. Dispalylink inidicats it is an issue with the inbox USB 3.0 driver. Has anyone had resolution to this issue or potential work around besides using a usb 2.0 cable?

Hi, Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. Sound problems can be caused by cables that aren't connected properly, damaged drivers, incompatible drivers, sound settings, missing updates, and problems with your sound card. I request you to follow the below steps: Step 1: Uninstall the Sound card Drivers a. Press “Windows Logo” + “X” keys on the keyboard. Click on “Device Manager” from that list. Search for the Sound driver from the device list, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”.

On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted drivers from the computer. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and the restart the computer if prompted. After the restart, please go ahead with the next steps to install the latest drivers and check if that resolves the issue. Update Driver Software from the Manufacturer’s website.

Step 2: Go to the Computer or Sound Card manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 drivers available for the Sound Card model and then install it by following the instructions given in the website. I also request you to follow the below article: No sound in Windows (Steps follows for Windows 10 also) Fix sound problems I also, suggest you to upgrade USB 3.0 drivers in compatibility mode from manufacturer's website and check.

Follow the steps below on how to install driver in compatibility mode: 1. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk. 2. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”. 3. Select “Compatibility” Tab. 4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list. I have removed the origin lenovo driver and hve installed the current display link driver version v7.9. Here is the url: The network card in the lenovo dock is also from Display link. After installing the display link driver package you will find a folder in C: Program Files DisplayLink Core Software called WDDMDriver. Open your management consol and install the driver manually for the lenovo ethernet adapter. Right click on USB Ethernet device in device manager Select Update Driver Select Browse my computer for driver software Select Browse Enter C: Program Files DisplayLink Core Software WDDMDrive This driver works the sam is for the audio driver. Here the folder is named audio driver.

After this installation I have all functions back from my USB dock. And this with Windows 10. Cheers Harmen.
